Life In Abundance Blog
Asking the “Whys” of God
I have to remind myself that when God is giving me trials, it isn’t to punish me. No, not at all. He loves me and He cares about me. The last thing He wants to do is hurt me. But, He does want to teach me. He wants to teach me about patience and how to simply wait.
Celebration

The Door

What’s in a Name?
So collectively, what name have we been given? And how important is it? We are called Christian, “little Christ”, “Christ-follower”. What’s in THAT name?
Wait
Even in our walk with Jesus, the waiting sometimes becomes bothersome. We wait for when He will come back again and clean up this mess! We wait for “peace on earth,” which incidentally won’t come until the former happens. We wait for the time when we will finally stop making the same silly spiritual mistakes, and we often wait impatiently for OTHERS to just ‘see that we are right.’ Yes, sometimes we wait unrealistically! We wait for eternal rest, so we wait… and wait… and wait.
What Does Church Have To Do With It
By Sydney Fowler Every kid dreams of one very special day: the day they go off to college. As much as that may hurt parents, it’s understandable. Who wouldn’t be excited at the thought of finally moving out of your parents’ house? It’s a rite of passage in a sense. It...
Freedom in Worship

Lost in Space
By Anonymous Disconnection from dysfunctional relationships can leave you feeling like an umbilical cord has been cut. Suddenly you are without touch points to tell you who you are, where you are and how you feel. Suddenly you are in a vast space that is void of any...
Who Do You Say He Is?
By Pastor Ben Hill (Reproduced with permission) The woman at the well is a beautiful story of Christ’s compassion and grace. He intentionally engaged in conversation with a woman who would be considered by all in that day an outcast. Yet He brought to her forgiveness...
Love Your Enemies

God’s Tapestry View
From above earth and above all the heavens, God sits on His mighty throne, and views our lives in a way that we can’t! He sees the finished product: what we will one day be!
More Than A Conqueror
“Conquerors suppress and oppress those who oppose them.” The reason the Lord says, “More than a conqueror “ is because you are a destroyer in Christ Jesus!
Where Are You?
When we are in the middle of challenging circumstances, God wants to know where we are in our heads and our hearts. He wants to know if we are being deceived by the enemy or trusting in His plan for our lives.
Worship in Church
Worship in church is a treasure. It is quite an experience living, serving, and worshiping with others who love God. Lifting His praises high with our voices and instruments and just coming together and using our gifts and abilities to serve Him is such a...
Worship in Addictions

Day 3: Shame and Worship
I am a worship leader and in my head, I understand what it means to worship. I understand that it's not just singing and lifting our hands on Sunday mornings and that true worship is a matter of the heart. I think Webster's dictionary nailed it, "Worship...
