Prayer…..as daughters of God He asks us to pray. In 1 Thessalonians 5:17-19 God beckons us to, “Pray without ceasing” for our benefit. Women often say that prayer is difficult and intimidating. We pray when it is convenient for us to pray. At best, prayer is wedged into our daily schedules between our commitments, wishes and responsibilities. Our prayer life is inconsistent in the casual times. By the time we get to the crisis times we are deplete in prayer, wondering where God is, and how things got this critical. We search mentally with uncertainty about how to pray. We scramble to try to talk to God. We fumble in our dialogue and efforts to commune with The Sovereign One.
We do not know how to pray without ceasing.
Prayer…We have an enemy who understands the power of prayer. He counts on daily distractions, emotional setbacks and confusing circumstances to keep us from communicating with God in prayer. He understands the powerful Victory we already have in prayer. He knows that one slash of The Sword of the Spirit can annihilate his schemes. And our enemy counts on our ignorance! His plan is to keep us separated from God and defeated in life. He uses the distractions of this world to accomplish his mission. His mission is to steal from us, to kill us and destroy us. This is his in game, his ultimate goal, his greatest delight.
“For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.” Ephesians 6:12
Nevertheless, God has made a way. God gives His warrior daughters the ability to pray because it is an offensive weapon. When we pray things change to our advantage in the spiritual world and the natural world. This is a spiritual battle. This class will teach you to pray effectively and consistently during the casual times, the crisis times, the crucible times and the celebration times. As we pray continually, things change from defeat to victory. To the Glory of God!
God is asking you right now, What have you got? What have you got that God has already given you? The answer: You have a voice to pray with, you have the vantage point of salvation to pray from, you have the Word of God to pray out loud, and you have a heart that gives you the ability to be in constant contact with Him.
